[News] WARNER BROS TO DEVELOP WAR MOVIE


Warner Bros Pictures plans to develop a World War II movie. As Aceshowbiz report, the studio has bought the film to be regenerated with a hook Bruce C. McKenna who previously wrote the scripts for several episodes of The Pacific and the Band of Brothers.
According to the studio that has prepared the budget $ 200 million for this movie called The Battle of Midway, has been asking McKenna to submit manuscripts within eight weeks. With Akiva Goldsman as producer, The Battle of Midway will also be worked out in 3D.
The story will focus on the 4 - 6 June 1942, six months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japan.
The Battle of Midway actually been regenerated several times. As in 1942, director John Ford has successfully won an Oscar after making a documentary on the battle of Pearl Harbour with the same title. Later in the year 1976, there was Midway, starring Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, James Coburn, and Hal Holbrook.
